Mobile clones and cheap knockoffs are off-topicīeat Saber is mega popular and therefore has about a billion clones. Self-promoting your own music (unless it's an honest request) doesn't belong anywhere since this is a video game community. Map requests should be made on r/beatsabersongs or the song-requests channel on the Modding Discord. This only applies to scoreposts - general video posts on Beat Saber content are fine. Low effort images of scores (such as with cameras/non-screenshots) are explicitly not allowed, and if you are unsure about whether it belongs in the megathread or not, then it usually belongs in the megathread. Scoreposts of low entertainment or interest value should be put in the weekly thread If an article has a clickbait title but you still want to post it, do your best to rephrase the title for reddit. Users should not have to click a post to find out what it's about. The title of a post should describe it's content. Links just to a channel or live stream are not allowed. "It's perfectly fine to be a redditor with a Youtube channel, it's not okay to be a Youtube channel with a reddit account." Posting videos/clips relevant to the game is ok if you aren't spamming them. Vive is one of the first ones that came out, and I bet the newer ones look even better than it.No inciting drama, brigading, personal attacks, baiting, trolling, etc. ![]() Can't say about other games, but I would say that this is probably correct if you compare it to the newer headsets. The colours were a little less vivid when I was using the linked quest, not the Vive, but it's not a deal breaker to me. But as far as Beat Saber goes, it looked better than the native Quest version of the game, and it looked close enough to the Steam version that I played on the Vive before that I couldn't really tell the difference. And it's not the most technically advanced games as far as visuals are concerned. I can't give you a good answer to that, the only one that I have really tried through link is Beat Saber. this time last year I had controllers and Rift everywhere haha. I mainly got it because I'm trying to de-clutter. With the link, are games as sharp as they are without the link? I've heard people say they are compressed or lower quality. Quest just seems like a more flexible and cheaper option. Actually, even better since the performance is slightly better due to the PC rendering the game, not your Quest.įrom my own experience, I honestly can't see a reason to get the Rift S in this situation. No input lag or anything, everything works just as good as if you were playing it normally on the Quest. ![]() ![]() And the experience is basically the same as when I was using the Vive. You can actually play the Steam version of the game that has better mod support, using your Oculus quest. The only thing it lacks is some other mods that can be found on the Steam version, but if you don't care about things like calorie tracker or custom backgrounds, then you're good.Īlso, it works surprisingly well with Steam VR if you do the link thing. And most importantly, it can also play custom songs. I have absolutely zero problems with the tracking as well, and can play every Expert + song I am capable of playing on the Vive. Unless you want the literally best possible experience so you can push for being in the top 10, Quest will do just fine. I've been playing Beat Saber on the Quest for a log time and it's just fine.
